The first run of the Giant Slalom in Val d’Isère (France) ends with a clear domination of Marco Odermatt. The Swiss, in fact, finished in 1:10.17, ahead of Norway’s Henrik Kristoffersen and Switzerland’s Loic Meillard, 65 and 75 hundredths distant respectively. Completing the top 5 were Austrian Marco Scwharz and Andorran Joan Verdu, who finished more than a second behind the first.

Slovenian Zan Kranjec (+1.53), Croatian Filip Zubcic (+1.62), Frenchman Alexis Pinturault (+1.76), German Alexander Schmid (+1.95) and American River Radamus (+2.26) complete the top 10. Complicated first run, on the other hand, for the Italians, with Luca De Aliprandini and Giovanni Borsotti finishing no higher than 13th and 15th, accumulating a delay of +3.25 and +3.50, respectively.

Filling out the Italian skiers who will take part in the second run, which will start at 12:30 p.m., are also Filippo della Vite and Alex Vinatzer, who did not go beyond 17th and 25th place, with a gap of 3.79 and 4.73.
