Leonardo Bonucci’s future

With Roma closing the doors to Trigoria, the chances of a return to Serie A are dwindling for Leonardo Bonucci. However, the former Juventus defender is not giving up and hopes that the January market will offer him a chance to return to Italy and pursue his dream of a call-up to Euro 2024.

Despite the difficulties he encountered in Germany with Union Berlin, where he collected only 10 appearances and eight benches in all competitions, Bonucci has not lost hope of returning home, close to his family in Turin.

With this in mind, Genoa has reportedly been thinking about the 1987 class, although it does not seem to be the ideal solution for Bonucci, after the flattery of Lazio in the summer. However, an eventual sale of Dragusin for figures as substantial as those circulated (around 30 million euros) could open a window for the Italian defender&#39s experience and leadership, offered at relatively low prices.

In addition, Gilardino needs a replacement and Bonucci could be the right choice. It will beà interesting to see how the events of the winter market will unfold for the veteran Italian defender.
