Massimiliano Allegri talks about youth and the market

On the eve of the Italian Cup round of 16 between Juventus and Salernitana, scheduled at 9 p.m. on Thursday evening, Massimiliano Allegri spoke at a press conference, also answering several questions regarding the performance of the Bianconeri youngsters (Kenan Yildiz above all) and the January market of the club currently second in the Serie A standings.

On Yildiz, Allegri cut it rather short: "Tomorrow he will not play – he said during the press conference -, he will give space to other players. The positive judgments about him? When a young player plays well he is always extolled but we must be careful: it is certainly not two games that decide whether you are a champion or not, è the result of daily work".

As for the market, however, no particular names: "Our managers are monitoring the market's progress. We miss and will miss Pogba and Fagioli but the team is growing: we just have to keep working, without thinking about who canò come. We just have to think about winning, that is how it works at Juventus.

Allegri also spoke about the Bianconeri ambitions in the Coppa Italia, a trophy that has been missing since the 2020/21 season: "We care about the Cup and winning è important no matter who is playing. We have to però take one step at a time and we already know that with Salernitana it wonà t be easy, they have a good and well-coached team".
