Sassuolo stops Fiorentina

At the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia, Sassuolo’s narrow victory beats Fiorentina 1-0 and breaks its five-game unbeaten streak.

The neroverdi score after 9 minutes: Pedersen crosses low from the left, ball to Pinamonti who flat footed pierces Terracciano. On 19’ double nullified for the Emiliani: from Thorstvedt to Toljan, right footer that Berardi deflects into the goal but from an offside position.

Immediately after Duncan crosses from the siistra, Milenkovic’s smash header, Consigli clears but Nzola rebounds wide. Seven minutes of recovery are not enough for Fiorentina, at the last second Ikone puts high from two steps but offside.
