Sofia Goggia, Federica Brignone, Marta Bassino, Roberta Melesi, Nicole Delago, Nadia Delago, Laura Pirovano, Elena Dolmen, Monica Zanoner, Vicky Bernardi and Teresa Runggaldier are the eleven summoned by technical director Gianluca Rulfi for the demanding World Cup stage on the Austrian track of Altenmarkt/Zauchensee dedicated to speed.

On the schedule are the third and fourth super-giants of the season (the first of which makes up for the one canceled in St. Moritz), scheduled for Friday, Jan. 12 (10:45 a.m.) and Sunday, Jan. 14 (10:45 a.m.), while on Saturday, Jan. 13, it will be the turn of the third downhill (11:00 a.m.). All races will be tramsed live on TV on Rai Due and Eurosport, remembering that Italy has nine places in both downhill and super-giant.

The event’s roll of honor records an Italian success with Federica Brignone in super-giant on February 12, 2020, a race in which Bassino placed third, while the previous day Nicol Delago was second in downhill, as was Lucia Recchia in the 2004/05 season. Goggia defends on the’occasion both bibs of the specialty rankingsà.
