Allianz Allianz Vero Volley Milan è is ready to return to the court for the fifth and penultimate day of Pool A of CEV Champions League 2023/24. Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 10, at 7:00 p.m. (Live Tv DAZN), Orro and her teammates will face the Serbs of Jedinstvo Stara Pazova at Sportsko Poslovni Centa in Ruma.

The Consortium’s women’s flagship team, in the highest continental competition, è back from the victory achieved in early December within the friendly walls of the Opiquad Arena, against Volley Mulhouse Alsace. Gaspari’s girls will therefore be masters of their destiny in Pool A, knowing that a possible victory on Serbian soil would allow them to better face VakifBank Istanbul in the last and decisive challenge set for Tuesday, Jan. 16 at the Allianz Cloud.

Milan had obtained an’excellent away victory on the’hostile court of the European champions with a dry 0-3, achieved in just over an’hour of play. Clear path at the moment, then, for Marco Gaspari’s team, which has conceded only one set in the first four matches played, placing itself at the head of Pool A with 12 points.

Allianz Vero Volley Milano will have to play a decisive and orderly match, continuing to grind out the game as in the first leg challenge where the Milanese had been relentless, leaving no room for the Serbs by pushing especially on serve and taking advantage of the excellent wall-defense correlation. On a statistical level, Paola Egonu è currently ranks third among the “Best scorers” of this phase with 82 points scored, behind Scandicci’s Ekaterina Antropova and Lodz’s Valentina Diouf, both at 94. Egonu è also tops the “Best blockers” with 15 walls (tied with Dnipro’s Dorsman) and the “Best servers” with 11 ace.
