Federica Brignone doesn’t want to stop

In Kranjska Gora, in the giant slalom staged last January 6, Federica Brignone conquered (thanks to her third place finish) podium number 63 of her World Cup career, a result that confirms her in the elite of Italian skiing bringing her 6 podiums away from Gustav Thoeni and 25 from the seemingly unreachable Alberto Tomba.

On the 'Val di Fassa Ski World Cup' channels, on the sidelines of the training sessions held together with the other azzurre on the La Volata slope that will host two women&#39s CdM events on Feb. 24 and 25, Brignone explained that she did not want to be satisfied with the results already obtained: "It's been done an incredible job,” she said, “to allow us to sustain quality training before the Alltenmark-Zauchensee race weekend. I have five weeks ahead with almost three World Cup stages each. It will beà a tough January, but we female athletes are used to".

"As long as I decideé to compete,” added the Valle d’Aosta woman, “I will do it with the aim of improving myself and increasing my number of podiums. The record? Tomba è impregnable, an unparalleled champion. I will continue to strive, trying to always take a step forward, è the only possible way to remain at a high level in every discipline".

"These days the alarm clock has been going off before 6 a.m., but è thatì is normal. Passion and commitment are two qualities you must have if you want to excel in an area, in my case sports. My focus will remain on giant and Super-G and, if Iò well, Iò will continue to do downhill as well. I will decideò weekend by weekend, depending on how I feel" concluded Federica Brignone.
