Cagliari knocks on Torino’s door for midfield reinforcement
Cagliari knocks on the door of Torino
The antennae of the directors of Cagliari in the winter session of the soccer market are straight: the club redblù wants to put at the disposal of Claudio Ranieri the best possible elements to succeed in the fight for salvation and in this sense in the last hours è circulated a new name, that of Karol Linetty.
According to reports from the 'Corriere dello Sport', the island club would have already started sounding the ground with the Granata one to verify the readiness to engage in negotiations in the coming days: the name of Linetty is not è random because the same Ranieri, who had him in the rose at the time of Sampdoria, knows him very well.
Born in 1995, Linetty è has been in Italy since 2016, after his first professional experiences with Lech Poznan, a club in the top Polish league: with Samp he played for four seasons, until 2020, before moving to Torino. Linetty è steadily on the roster of the Polish national team, with whose jersey he also played in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The winter soccer market session, which began with the stroke of the new calendar year, will end on Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. The closing date is a novelty compared to previous years, since insiders were accustomed to the now classic Jan. 31 closing date. This year, therefore, clubs will have an extra 24 hours to try to reinforce their roster.
