Surgery for Marten De Roon, who injured his hand in Rome on January 7 in a clash with Roma player Bryan Cristante in which he got his middle finger stuck in his shirt. Here is the statement published by Dea on its official website.
“Marten De Roon, on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024 è underwent surgical treatment to repair the rupture of the distal insertion of the flexor tendon of the third finger of the left hand. The’surgery, performed at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome by Dr. Massimo Massarella, è technically successful”.
The’operation è therefore took place yesterday but the statement è was issued only today. A 32-year-old midfielder, De Roon has played in Bergamo since 2015-2016, with a brief spell at Middlesbrough in 2016-2017.
With Atalanta in his career he totaled 325 appearances and 17 goals between all competitions, 259 and 15 in Serie A. This season he has collected 26 appearances, 19 in Serie A, without ever scoring.
