Basketball è in mourning: è Dejan Milojevic, assistant coach of the Golden State Warriors, died suddenly at just 46 years old. Last night the Serbian coach è felt ill while out to dinner with the rest of the team, transported to the hospital did not make it and è passed away today.

Born April 15, 1977, in Belgrade, he played as a big forward and won the championship the Yugoslav championship in 2001 with Buducnost Podgorica, winning the Cup of Yugoslavia in the same year, and in 2005 and 2006 the championship of Serbia and Montenegro with Partizan Belgrade.

As individual awards he è took home the MVP of the Adriatic League in 2004 with Buducnost and in 2005 and 2006 with Partizan. From 2006 to 2008 he played in Valencia and then for one year in Galatasaray announcing his retirement in 2009. With the Yugoslav national team he won the 2001 European Championship in Turkey.

He then began his coaching career: from 2014 to 2020 at the helm of Mega Leks Belgrade he won a Serbian Cup in 2016, in 2020-2021 è he landed at Buducnost, with which he è won the Montenegro championship and cup.

From 2019-2021 è he was also assistant coach of the national team of Serbia. From 2021-2022 he was part of Steve Kerr’s coaching staff at the Golden State Warriors and in that very year, his first as assistant coach of the Californians, he won the NBA ring.
