Brescia avalanche in Trent

After its first home win of 2024, Germani also finds its first away win of 2024 by decisively overcoming Dolomiti Energia Trentino.

È Semaj Christon on penetration opened the scoring in the challenge between Trento and Brescia, and Gabriel’s subsequent basket gave the first partial to Germani (0-4 the score after 1’). Trento è good però to answer with a 7-0 counter-partial with points by Stephens , Grazulis and a triple by Toto Forray. Christon again on penetration shortens the lead to -1 (7-6  the score in favor of the hosts), but Forray’s next triple brings the lead to 4 for Trento. Dolomites tries to run away twice but Germani è good first to resist and then to go ahead on 15-17 with a wild Nicola Akele (8 points for him in the first quarter). Hubb found parity on 17-17 when there were 3 minutes left to play in the quarter, but Trento’s offense stalled and Brescia took advantage by posting a 0-8 partial with Akele, Della Valle and Christon that set the score at 17-25 at the end of the first half.

The second quarter opens with Cobbins’ dunk on Petrucelli’s alley-oop that gives Germani a double-digit lead +10 on 19-29, while for Trento è Alviti to answer bringing back to 8 the lengths of disadvantage for the hosts. Brescia tries to escape with baskets by Petrucelli and Gabriel forcing Coach Galbiati to timeout with Germani escaped to +12 on 19-31. Coming out of the timeout, the hosts still struggle to find the bottom of the net and Gabriel’s counterattack dunk makes it +14 for Germani. Trento tries to light up from long distance with triples by Grazulis and Baldwin, but Brescia è good at answering with Massinburg and Cournooh thus maintaining the accumulated lead (27 to 41 the score at 17’). Germani tries the decisive stretch flying to +18 twice with Christon and Massinburg, but Grazulis’ triple brings Trento back to -15 (32 to 47 the score at 19’). Here però come a 0-5 partial for Brescia with a basket by captain Della Valle and a triple at the expiration of time by Gabriel that set the score at 32 to 52 at the end of the first half of play.

Upon returning to the court from the long break, è Germani to find the first basket with Burnell, while for Trento è Grazulis to answer. Brescia doesn’t want to stop and stretches to +25 with another 0-5 mini-partial thanks to Bilan’s basket and Della Valle’s 3 on 3 from the line (34 to 59 the score). Forray and Baldwin try to shorten the gap for Trento, but Germani è good at answering with two triples by Gabriel and Burnell bringing Coach Magro’s team back to +26 (41 to 67 the score at 27’). Grazulis tries to load his teammates on his shoulders, but Brescia today è unstoppable and Akele’s 5 points bring to 30 the lead for Germani (44 to 74 the score at 29’). In the last minute Alviti scores from 3, but at the expiration Massinburg responds with the same coin thus closing the third quarter on 47-77.

Fourth quarter that has little to tell from the point of view of the result, Germani Brescia è good at administering the advantage accumulated so far and closes the game with the score of 69-93.
