Juventus rushes to armor Yildiz: super contract
At 18 years of age, Kenan Yildiz is winning match after match as a permanent starter for Juventus. The benches of November and December are just a memory for the Turkish striker, who started as a starter in the last four league matches against Frosinone, Roma, Salernitana and Sassuolo, as well as in the Coppa Italia, wringing applause for his performance.
Juventus is now aiming to armor its burgeoning jewel: according to reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri want to extend the player’s contract until at least 2029, to ward off suitors that are beginning to come forward in Europe (Dortmund among them).
Contacts between Juventus and his agent have already begun on the sidelines of the match against Sassuolo, and more meetings will be held in the coming months.
Yildiz is set to sign his third contract in two years with Juventus, after arriving in 2022 from Bayern Munich on a zero-parameter basis. Juve and Allegri believe in him, and to make room for him Giuntoli and Manna decided to sell Moise Kean on loan in January. The value of his club tag, now around 15 million euros, is soaring and could more than quadruple by the end of the season.
