Jannik Sinner reassures fans

Tuesday's was another triumphant day for Jannik Sinner, who was able to gain access to the Australian Open semifinals after getting rid of Andrey Rublev in three sets in the quarterfinals. Yet there was a moment when his fans trembled: in the second set, in fact, Sinner had touched his abdomen, as if feeling discomfort. He talked about it himself in a press conference, calming forò everyone.

"I don&#39t worry because that discomfort è gone away,” he told reporters.

I don&#39t know, maybe it was a breathing issue, today it was a little bit more humid and playing in the evening è anyway different. A twinge? No, no, had it been like that; it would have been worrying. It was an annoyance, but now I don&#39t feel it anymore.

"Physically I felt good and also on the field I feel I moved well – added Sinner, speaking more generally about his own presiation – It was the first game I played at night, an important test because often in the evening I struggle more. It was not an easy game at all, I am happy with the way I played and, of course, with the final result".

The press conference, as well as the post-match interview, was also an opportunity to talk about the next opponent, the fearsome Novak Djokovic: "I like these challenges,” Sinner confirmed.

The only thing I can do is to play my best and give it my all, point after point. I have to run on any ball. We will see, then, how it will go ".
