Mehdi Taremi, Inter warns suitors
Inter, starts the assault on Mehdi Taremi
Milan could be in the destiny of Mehdi Taremi, but from a diametrically opposite perspective than it seemed last summer: on the Iranian striker, sought in the past by AC Milan, it would now seem to have swooped on Inter, particularly interested in including him in the squad starting next season. Reporting the Nerazzurri's interest is the 'Corriere della Sera'.
Inter's management is ready to take advantage of Taremi's soon-to-be-released status, as his contract with Porto will expire on June 30: as per regulations, the Nerazzurri can play in advance and try to reach an agreement with the player. The figures are important: there is talk of 3 million per season for two years. Warn therefore the other suitors interested in the signing of the striker at zero parameter.
The outcome of the negotiation, per the Milanese newspaper, will not depend on what will happen between Inter management and Lautaro Martinez's entourage for the latter's contract renewal. It is still a very long talk, as confirmed by the 'Toro's agent, Alejandro Camano, though there is still ample room for discussion, given that the current agreement between Lautaro and Inter will expire in 2026.
Returning to Taremi, should he land at Inter he would begin his third experience wearing the shirt of a European club. After taking his first professional steps in his country, at Persepolis, he in fact played a year and a half in Qatar, at Al-Gharafa, before arriving in Portugal, at Rio Ave, in 2019. The following year on transfer to Porto, the club that brought him to international prominence.
