Atalanta, Gianluca Scamacca stands with Gian Piero Gasperini: “He is right.”
With the return to scoring, also come important words toward a very demanding coach.
Gianluca Scamacca put his signature on the 2-0 win with which his Atalanta settled Udinese at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo. It was a liberating goal for the striker who had not scored in the league since the beginning of November, just as the great growth of Lookman, De Ketelaere and Miranchuk materialized. So much so that it caused him to give his coach Gian Piero Gasperini reason for the recent reprimands against him.
"When Gasperini says that I come from another soccer and I have to run more, he is right,” Scamacca admitted to the microphones of 'DAZN'. Here you have to run a lot, and I am getting used to it. As I do it, by the way, I realize more and more that there are more opportunities to score goals. And here at Atalanta the confidence è very high, I want to repay it and help make history".
" It took me a long time to get back to scoring, but most of all I am happy with my performance. I am better physically, and I know that this way it would have been easier to resume scoring goals. I am having fun here, when we are there with our minds on Atalanta we all have fun. But even if we are fourth we know that è still long, we will do the math at the end of the season", added Scamacca.
