Jannik Sinner’s performance in Melbourne è still in the eyes of all tennis fans, and a great former world number one like Mats Wilander wanted to have his say on the feat of the South Tyrolean athlete at the Australian Open: "There are many things that impressed me about Jannik Sinner’s success, but what I remember most of all è that he è never panicked".

Down 2-0 in the final against Daniil Medvedev, Sinner reacted without flinching, winning the other three sets with a disarming calm and confidence: "È truly impressive for a young player who was playing his first Grand Slam final and è quickly found himself down two sets to zero". 

"I don't think I have ever seen such a feat by a 22-year-old. Maximum respect", are the words of Wilander, seven Slams won, to Equipe.
