Lara Gut-Behrami’s dominance at Kronplatz. Sofia Goggia precedes Federica Brignone
Kronplatz Giant: three blue women in top 10
After dominating the first run, Lara Gut-Behrami è repeated herself in the second run by winning the Kronplatz Giant Slalom. The Swiss skier achieved a time of 2:00.64, preceding ex aequo New Zealand’s Alice Robinson and Sweden’s Sara Hector, who finished the event 1.09 behind the leader. At the foot of the podium, however, was Norway’s Ragnhild Mowinckel.
In fifth place is Sofia Goggia, who is only 6 hundredths ahead of compatriot Federica Brignone. Completing the top 10 are Croatia's Zrinka Ljutic, Switzerland's Camille Rast, Austria's Julia Scheib, who, thanks to the best time she recorded in the second run, recovered an impressive 16 positions, and Italy's Marta Bassino. Also finishing in the top 30 were Roberta Melesi (14), Asja Zenere (16) and Elisa Platino (26).
In the overall World Cup standings, Lara Gut-Behrami moves within 95 points of Mikaela Shiffrin, currently out due to injury. The Swiss increases her lead in the specialty ranking, where Brignone maintains second position.
