M'Baye Niang one step away from Empoli
M'Baye Niang è is very close to wearing the shirt of an Italian Serie A club. The French-Senegalese striker, who turned 29 last Dec. 19, has in fact reached an agreement with Empoli to play the second part of the 2023/24 season with the biancazzurra shirt. According to reports from 'Tuttomercatoweb' the deal would be practically done.
Niang will thus leave Adana Demirspor, a club he had joined last summer. Empoli was not the only Italian club that had shown interest in the former Milan and Torino striker, among others: Hellas Verona and Genoa (which had already had him in their ranks in early 2015) had also evaluated the feasibility of the deal, except for withdrawing both in recent days.

Niang will return to Serie A pitches for the first time in almost six years, that is, since his first and only season at Torino, which ended with 4 goals in 29 appearances between the league and Coppa Italia.
Born in 1994, Niang made his professional debut in 2010/11 with the Caen shirt, in France. In 2012, the move to AC Milan, for which he played 79 games, with 12 goals to his credit, until August 2017. During his Rossoneri experience he also went several times on loan, first to Montpellier in France, then to Genoa and then again to Watford in England. After his transfer to Torino, he played one year in Granata, then wore the jerseys of Al-Ahli (Saudi Arabia), Bordeaux, Auxerre and Adana Demirspor (Turkey).
