Elisa Molinarolo snatches indoor record from Roberta Bruni

It was a no-holds-barred battle between two excellent athletes. Elisa Molinarolo snatched the indoor pole vault record from Roberta Bruni by crossing 4 meters 66: the Venetian, who turned 30 a couple of weeks ago, succeeded at the PalaCasali in Ancona, mortgaging the tricolor title in the Italian championships.

The Venetian cleared 4.20, 4.40 and 4.50 on the first assault and then raised the bar with the goal of touching up by one centimeter the national record that Roberta Bruni had snatched from her a few days ago in Roubaix (France).

The policewoman, who retouched her own indoor personal best by five hundredths, èstopped just two centimeters short of her overall personal best and also attempted to snatch the overall record (4.73) from Bruni as well, but without luck.
