Ferrari, Leclerc: "Difficult to see where we are". Sainz satisfied

They all hid in the first day of Formula 1 free practice in Bahrain. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc admitted that it è difficult to make a first hierarchy of the teams in the race, and pointed out the balance on the track: "I would have been surprised if there was no battle, I expected to be theì with the others, the’only question mark è Red Bull and how far ahead they will be compared to the others. But I would be surprised if we were not fighting with the others".

"There’è not much to say except that è itè still difficult to define our level of competitivenessà – continued Leclerc -, while even today we had no surprises. &Eegrave; it was good to get in the car and start comparing ourselves with the others, really kicking off the season. There'è a lot to do, especially in terms of balance. I&#39m curious to see what position we&#39ll be in on Friday.

Carlos Sainz promoted the work done by Ferrari so far: "We will all be very close. Obviously we don’t know the programs of our opponents, but at the level of competitiveness; I would say we are where we expected to be. Overall, our Thursday è è was good as we completed our program by thoroughly evaluating the tires. Now è time to analyze all the data and prepare for qualifying"

Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur è not unbalanced ahead of official qualifying: "It's still difficult to get a clear picture of performance. This morning in the first session we were all pretty close. We are trying to improve our potential. We have corrected the main problems with the car from last year and with the wind that was there today è it was pretty clear that we have grown".
