Jannik Sinner plans rematch: here’s when he returns to the field
Jannik Sinner wants to quickly file away his defeat against Carlos Alcaraz in Indian Wells. After 19 consecutive victories, the Italian's run came to a halt against his Spanish archrival, and the South Tyrolean, net of physical problems that will be monitored in the coming days, is looking forward to redeeming himself at the Miami Masters 1000, starting next week.
The San Candido tennis player has to defend the points from last year’s semifinal, and in the draw he will be the number two seed, given Novak Djokovic’s forfeit: he will only be able to meet great rival Carlos Alcaraz in the final to take his revenge.
After Miami, the clay court season kicks off: Sinner has not yet announced his schedule, but he will surely be in Monte Carlo, Rome and Roland Garros. Then comes the interlude on grass that will culminate with Wimbledon and then space from July for the Paris Olympics.
"I was positive during this whole series of wins, I remain positive even now, because I lost in the semifinals of Indian Wells, which è still a very good result. Now, the next tournament è Miami. So I am already; focused for that tournament".
