Verona beaten in Brianza

Second consecutive defeat for the Tezenis Verona, which loses 74-69 at PalaDesio against the Aqua San Bernardo Cantù, thus allowing the Brianzoli to find success again after the knockouts against Rimini and Chiusi). On the sidelines of the match, the coach of Scaligera Basket, Alessandro Ramagli, did not hide his bitterness at the final result.

All the regret of the Scaligera coach: "Better to lose it by 30"

"Since we played in 7, and of those 7 a couple of them not really in shape, I would have liked to lose it by 30 this game – said the yellow-bl&ugrave coach; – because it would have justified that we are not training, that we have no players, that those who play do so injured, and instead we lose it by 5. Honestly, it leaves me a great regret".

"In preparing the game in 30 minutes, the only ones we managed to do with 10 players on the court, we focused our attention on two things – Ramagli explained again: the first è the impact on rebounding, as it è a simple and very important aspect of the game; the second fundamental was avoiding throwing the ball away, knowing the pressure that Cant&ugraveùs outsides would exert; and imagining something different in the situations of blocks on the ball by the longs".

The 19 lost balls in Ramagli’s sights

"And instead we made 19 lost balls that delivered the game into the hands of Cantù. Honestly, as a coach of the team and knowing what we are doing in terms of 'not doing' and not 'to do', I would have preferred to have lost it by 30 because at least it would have justified all the messes we have within the team right now. Losing it by 5 leaves me with the sad regret that we have serious responsibilities in making 19 lost balls" concluded Ramagli.
