The two 4×400

also qualified for the five-ring event.

Excellent news comes from Nassau, capital of the Bahamas and, at this time, home of the World Relays. Italy's sprints have confirmed their greatness, taking as many as three relays (out of five) to the upcoming Paris Olympics. A show of strength that certifies that Italian velocità is in very good hands.

It does not betray the men’s 4×100, the most expected. The Azzurri (Olympic gold medalists and world silver medalists) take to the track with Bobby Rigali, Marcell Jacobs, Lorenzo Patta and Pippo Tortu, the same men and running order as the 2023 World Championships in Budapest.

The men’s relay team ran loose and unblemished, finishing second, behind only the United States: 37"49 for the Americans, 38"79 for the Azzurri. A second place that is worth the pass to Paris to the joy especially of Jacobs (increasingly tonic and with a “leg” that also shoots well at the individual level) and Tortu who needed an important result to relaunch himself at certain levels.

Also snatching a pass for Paris 2024 are the two 4x400s. Both the mixed 4×400 and the women’s 4×100 are not yet out of the Olympics. There are still six places up for grabs and, therefore, there are still several chances to make it to a fantastic five out of five.
