F1, Charles Leclerc charged for Imola: “Now on the attack.”
Ferrari will bringà many updates to the GP dell'Emilia Romagna
Verstappen è beatable. McLaren proved it in Miami. Supported by the new updates, Norris è managed, helped also by a favorable Safety Car, to beat the reigning World Champion to the track. It was a success that also rejuvenated Leclerc, who finished third at the finish line but still lacked updates on his Ferrari.
Ferrari, in fact, has decided that it will activate on its single-seaters the rich package of updates at the GP dell'Emilia Romagna, scheduled for the weekend May 17-19. Leclerc is looking forward to more solutions to try to win on the track: "McLaren in Miami è was impressive. Now it is up to us to have the upgrades and go for it".
Given Ferrari’s results so far, there is a lot of optimism seeping out ahead of Imola where, almost certainly, the performance of the single-seaters will be even better than they are now. Verstappen seems less dominant than in the recent past and, therefore, there's room to attempt something important. Leclerc knows this well and is eager to try.
Meanwhile, Vasseur, the team principal of the Rossa, is enjoying the good results the team is getting: "A good pace without having brought any updates", his clear words. In short, after McLaren, it is now Ferrari’s turn to make a further qualitative leap and try to put even more of a strain on the certainties of Verstappen and Red Bull.
