Binaghi makes an'admission about Jannik Sinner

Federtennis president Angelo Binaghi during the press conference in Rome in which he took stock of the Internazionali d'Italia quoted Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini to talk about the large influx of spectators that characterized this edition of the Rome tournament. "This year we have undergone an invasion of spectators, which has made the site suddenly insufficient and it&#39s the first time this has happened. When all is said and done, I think I can say that with Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini on the court probably on some days we should have prevented the’further influx of fans".

Binaghi apologized for this: "There were in fact some days when we were at the limit. I saw very long lines, kind of like what happens in our sports clubs, first for padel and now for tennis, that they start kicking, claiming bigger spaces. We as a federation as far as the daily life of the clubs is concerned, and with Sport and Health for the organization of the Internationals, we have to try to urgently run for cover so that this development can have an adequate satisfaction soon. I apologize to the public, only their passion, as well as their education, has helped us keep the situation under control".

The Federtennis president hopes for an adjustment of the sports complex at the Foro Italico: "We need to mount more grandstands on the grounds, è it is possible to reason about a third numbered court, and probably should be quotaed only on certain days the entrances of SAT schools to whom we offer tickets at very favorable prices".
