Allegri consoles himself

Not even the threat of rain dampened the enthusiasm of the thousands of fans (in the end there were more than 12,000) who populated the bleachers and gardens of the Capannelle Racecourse to experience the magic of the most anticipated equestrian event of the year, Derby Day. In the end, the Blue Ribbon è returned to speak German, once again with the pink and green colors of Darius Racing, already on the mark in 2022 with Arkadan, thanks to Borna, a pupil of Markus Klug, recent winner of the Milanese preparation test par excellence, the Filiberto Prize.

Riding Andreas Starke, a navigated multi-decorated jockey, from the early stages brought Borna into the thick of the contention, close behind the leaders, and with perfect timing he anticipated the moves of the English invader Royal Supremacy, to sprint at the final 400 meters toward the finish line, leaving behind the same Royal Supremacy, Caos Calmo and the excellent Melfi, winner of the recent Parioli.

Strong emotions also in the second race of the day in terms of importance, the prestigious President of the Republic – Università Campus Bio-Medico, Group III for seniors over 1800 meters. Great expectations for Estrosa, Allegri’s mare ridden by Dario Di Tocco, who at the end of a courageous race got a flattering third place, behind the winner Woodchuck (Simon Planque in the saddle) who got the better of See Hector (Lucas Delozier) and precisely the female so dear to the Livorno trainer.

The now former Juventus coach found consolation, however, with the success of another of his pupils, Mr. Darcy, led to success by Mickael Barzalona in the Premio Mauro Sbarigia, listed on 1600 meters and the second race of the afternoon.
