Spectacle and strong emotions in the first act of the Eastern Conference finals between Boston and Indiana. At the end of a throbbing contest, after an overtime, the Celtics managed to knock out the excellent Pacers: 133-128 the final in favor of the green-and-whites who, therefore, rise to 1-0 in the series.
The Celtics have Brown and Tatum to thank. The former è decisive in the final of the fourth period. When there are only seven seconds left until the buzzer, the Boston star slips in the triple that makes it 117-117 and takes the game to the overtime. In total, Brown put up an impressive 26 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
Expected to have a big game, Tatum did not disappoint TD Garden fans. The green-and-white all-star finished with an impressive 36 points, 10 of them in the decisive overtime. "You know there's always a chance. We have seen crazy things happen. We never think we lost the game, at least until we è really lost", the words of Holiday reported by ESPN, another pivotal element of the Celtics (28 points and eight assists).
On the other side, bitter chews the Pacers, who went within a step of the feat. Haliburton ended the match with 25 points and 10 assists (6/14 from three-point range). Also notable were the performances of Siakam (24 points and 12 rebounds) and Turner (23 points and 10 rebounds) but, in the end, to smile è Boston.
