The overtaking fades on the very last day of the championship.

Atalanta defeated by Fiorentina in Bergamo, in the very last match that definitively closed Serie A 2023-2024. It was the recovery of the 29th day, long postponed due to the illness suffered by Joe Barone, decided by Andrea Belotti’s brace. The Nerazzurri then finish in fourth place, -2 from Juventus definitely third.

The match in Bergamo began immediately full of emotions, episodes and bursting goals. Unlocking the score è Belotti, a Bergamasque who has never been transited by Atalanta (he trained in the football school of AlbinoLeffe), who at 6' takes advantage of Castrovilli's initiative and strikes the ball into the net. Already at 12' comes the equalizer, with the signature of Lookman who scucchiaia the splendid assist of De Ketelaere behind the very young goalkeeper Martinelli, debutant in Serie A.

After such a start one would expect a drop in intensity, which doesn&#39t come: Belotti on one side and De Ketelaere on the other look for the overtaking goal, but to find it è Nico Gonzalez at 19' with a volley on Biraghi&#39s cross from the left flank. At 32' è again equalizing: Scalvini finds it, with a bolide from outside the box on a service from the usual Lookman. And it is not è over yet, becauseé in the recovery of the first half Belotti completes the double in a melee.

È already; the decisive goal, although there remains a whole half to play and emotions are not lacking. De Ketelaere and Duncan already make themselves dangerous in the first two minutes of the second half, then Pasalic hits the crossbar. Atalanta insisted, with Miranchuk narrowly missing the goal and Scamacca failing to make an impact. There'è also the tile of an ankle problem for Scalvini, to be evaluated ahead of the European Championships ready to start for Luciano Spalletti's Italy. Last applause for Martinelli, who in full recovery denied a new equaliser to Scamacca.
