Ducati has chosen: the decision between Marc Marquez and Jorge Martin is here
Marc Marquez-Jorge Martin: Ducati dissolves reservations
After the triumph in the Mugello GP, during testing at the Tuscan track, Ducati has reportedly made its decision regarding Pecco Bagnaia’s teammate in the factory team from the 2025 season.
According to reports from "Sky Sport", the Italian team would have decided to sign Marc Marquez, with whom there would have already been important contacts at the end of the Italian GP. A two-year contract would already be ready for the eight-time world champion. Negotiations would already be at an advanced stage and the final white smoke would now be one step away.
Ducati’s hope was to try to retain both the former Honda and Jorge Martin, but given the unique will to land in the official team by both Gigi Dall'Igna and Claudio Domenicali would have opted for the Spaniard of Team Gresini.
Waiting for the centaur from the Prima Pramac team, at this point, would be Aprilia, which at the end of the season will say goodbye to Aleix Espargarò. As for Enea Bastianini, however, the most credited option would be a move to KTM.
