Italy, Federico Gatti takes the place of Giorgio Scalvini

Giorgio Scalvini, injured in Sunday’s match against Fiorentina, suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. In his place, Italy coach Luciano Spalletti has called up Federico Gatti, who will join his national teammates on Monday, as communicated by the same Federation.

"The Nerazzurri defender will in fact have to skip the European Championship after being injured in the final minutes of the championship match against Fiorentina: the diagnostic tests to which è was subjected yesterday evening have in fact shown the rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee".

"At’lunchtime, along with Scamacca, Federico Gatti will reach Coverciano. Last Friday, after Francesco Acerbi’s forfeit, the Juventus defender had been pre-alerted by Head Coach Luciano Spalletti, making himself available and getting to work in his own office" closes the Federation statement.
