Joshua Zirkzee to AC Milan gets complicated: the reasons and possible alternatives
The hunt for a new center forward continues.
AC Milan soccer market: Joshua Zirkzee è has long been identified as the possible heir to Olivier Giroud in the role of Rossoneri center forward, as well as number 9 and the fulcrum of the team's attack while also waiting to know its new coach after Stefano Pioli's farewell. Negotiations for the striker who exploded in Bologna, however, seem to be getting complicated.
Explaining this è 'Sky Sport', which on Monday evening defined the negotiations between Milan and Bologna as advanced, but decidedly more complicated is another aspect: that of the commissions demanded by Zirkzee’s attorney, Kia Joorabchian. The latter would have raised the bar too high compared to what the Diavolo intends to guarantee him.
The knot would be so difficult to untie that Milan would already be considering alternative tracks to the one leading to Zirkzee. One of the hottest leads to Santiago Gimenez, a Mexican born in 2001 currently at Feyenoord and author of 23 goals in the last Eredivisie. More difficult is Serhou Guirassy, a French-Guinean from Stuttgart.
The real number one target remains in any case Zirkzee, especially since the agreement with Bologna seems close to being reached on the basis of about 40 million. It remains to be seen whether the commission hurdle can be overcome, as happened a year ago with Charles De Ketelaere, who for the same reason risked seeing his own move to Atalanta blown up.
