Allianz new partner of the Italian Canoe Kayak Federation
Allianz becomes a partner of the Italian Canoe Kayak Federation. The parties announced the’sponsorship agreement that will see them together until 2028. The insurance group will be "Shirt Sponsor" of the Italian national canoe and kayak – senior and youth teams – which will thus be able to display the Allianz brand on their jerseys and blue canoes.
An agreement that will see Allianz S.p.A. accompany the sporting exploits of Italian canoeists on major international stages and on the competition fields of European Championships, World Championships and World Cups in all disciplines practiced by the FICK: canoe slalom, canoe sprint, paracanoe, canoe polo, canoe downhill, canoe marathon, ocean racing, dragon boat and sup.
The official event for the presentation of the partnership was held in Milan in the Allianz Tower Auditorium, in the presence of a large representative of blue athletes engaged in the international sports season that will have its climax with the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Present were the newly crowned European slalom canoe champion Giovanni De Gennaro, Tokyo 2020 silver medalist Manfredi Rizza and the first Italian bronze medalist in the history of the Paralympics in Tokyo Federico Mancarella.
By virtue of the agreement, the Allianz brand will be visible on the official competition uniforms, leotards and canoes of the Italian athletes, and the insurance company will also be able to carry out shootings, advertising and digital communication campaigns with the athletes. The partnership also includes the presence of Allianz at the upcoming World Sprint Canoe and Paracanoe Championships scheduled from August 20 to 24, 2025 at the historic Idroscalo venue in Milan.
