Napoli, Antonio Conte waits for protégé Romelu Lukaku
The Belgian has already made it known that he knows his destination
Conte's arrival on the Napoli bench has sparked much disquisition, especially at the market level. Taking for granted the departure of Osimhen, now at the end of his adventure with the Azzurri shirt, è it is clear that the new coach is looking for a new starting center forward.
Given the fact that Zirkzee seems more and more directed toward signing with AC Milan, è it is clear that Conte is very interested in Lukaku, his trusted squire. The Belgian has made it known that he already knows his destination and that he considers Conte the best coach he has ever had in his entire career. In short, he would be very happy to play with the Napoli jersey.
There are several obstacles to overcome for this to happen. First and foremost, Chelsea, owner of Lukaku’s tag, no longer seems willing to go down the road of an onerous loan. They are aiming at an outright transfer, obviously trying to meet the player’s needs.
Napoli, from the sale of Nigerian star player Osimhen, is expected to collect a significant sum, probably close to 100 million euros. It will be up to Manna, the Parthenopean club’s new sporting director, to figure out how to invest the treasure. Trying to get to Chelsea’s Lukaku, to please Conte, could be an important first step in creating the new Napoli.
