Ylber Ramadani throws down the gauntlet

There is now less than a week to go until the Euro 2024 debut of Italy and Albania, who will face each other in Dortmund on Saturday, June 15 at 9 p.m. in the match marking the first day of Group B. It is a match between two national teams that are geographically close to each other and have several Albanian players committed right in Italy. Among them there'è Ylber Ramadani, Lecce midfielder, who to the Albanian portal 'Pamorama Sport' launched his very personal challenge.

"The match against Italy è a special appointment, also because they are the reigning champions – said the 28-year-old, who has been committed to the Italian championship since 2023 -. Our task è to go on the field and get points for the ranking, not just play well. If it will be needed, we will also aim for the counterattack".

"A dream of mine? I would like to score the decisive goal five minutes from the end" then said Ramadani, who with the Lecce jersey played, in the season just ended, 34 games in the league and 2 in the Coppa Italia, with a goal scored, in Serie A, last December 16, in the challenge won 2-1 by the Salentini over Frosinone.

Italy and Albania face each other for the first time on the stage of a major international event: so far, the two national teams have faced each other four times, two in friendly matches and two in the World Cup qualifiers, with a balance clearly in favor of the Azzurri, winners of all matches.
