Alessandro Gentile goes back to the old ways
Alessandro Gentile returns to the 'stable' of Riccardo Sbezzi
A new turning point for the career of Alessandro Gentile: the class of 1992 basketball player, just back from the season played with the Givova Scafati jersey, è in fact returned to his old attorney, Riccardo Sbezzi. It was the latter who made the news official, with a post published on his Instagram profile on Tuesday.
"Some loves do not end, they take immense turns and then they return. Alessandro Gentile is back" wrote Sbezzi, publishing in the margin of the post two photos showing Gentile, one in training and another, jubilant, on the parquet. The newfound cooperation will therefore determine the next contacts at the level of clubs interested in Nando’s second son.
Alessandro Gentile has so far experienced a career full of moves, in Italy and Europe: after his beginnings in the then Benetton Treviso (from 2009 to 2011), he then wore the undershirts of Olimpia Milano, Panathinaikos, Hapoel Jerusalem, Virtus Bologna, Estudiantes (at two separate times), Trento, Varese, Brindisi, Udine and Scafati.
In his career, Gentile also played 81 games in a national team uniform, for 952 total points scored, an average of 11.8 per game. In the Azzurri, at the Under-20 level, he won the silver medal at the 2011 European Championships, in which the national team coached by Pino Sacripanti surrendered only to Spain in the final.
