Now è official: Luis Alberto leaves Lazio after a good eight seasons. The biancoceleste club, in fact, through a note issued on its institutional channels has announced the outright sale of the Spanish footballer to Qatara to'Al-Duhail.
"S.S. Lazio informs that it has definitively transferred the footballer Luis Alberto Romero Alconchel, effective from the 2024/2025 football season, to the club Al-Duhail affiliated with the federation of Qatar" this is the statement issued by the Capitoline club.
Following the official announcement, the "Magician" wanted to send a last goodbye to the biancocelesti fans through a post on his Instagram account: "We want to tell you a story. This è a story of love. A Spanish boy from a small town in Cadiz, who at the age of 23 è arrived in Rome without imagining that he would become 'Il Mago'. Eight seasons wearing the Lazio jersey, eight years of passion and dedication in every game, in every training session.
Over time the eternal city è became his home and the Stadio Olimpico his home. As in every love story there were difficult moments, injuries that tested his strength and defeats that hurt like wounds in the soul, but, in love as in life, there are unforgettable moments. Victories, hugs, 'I love you' all the affection of Lazio fans and goals, 52 for those who, under the sky of Rome, proudly read: 'La pelota always at Diez'.
Together with his family he learned on the field and in life, his wife and children grew up carrying Lazio in their hearts and living every game with the intensity of those who know that soccer is not just a sport.
