All that was missing was the official announcement, now it has arrived: Marco Baroni è the new coach of Lazio. After parting ways with Verona, which was made official on Monday, the Florentine coach signed with the biancoceleste club, which announced his arrival through an official statement.

"S.S. Lazio announces that it has entrusted the task of coach of the first team to Marco Baroni. The technician, starting next July 1, will bind himself to the biancoceleste club with a multi-year contract. To Baroni the welcome in the Capital and the wish for a good job from the whole biancoceleste family" reads the note issued by the Capitoline club.

Baroni takes the place of Igor Tudor, who resigned last June 5. The former Verona coach signed a two-year contract with an option for a third year, with a 1.5 million euro per season salary.
