Milan and Napoli: a stroke in attack fades
No Serie A for Benjamin Sesko. The Slovenian striker has decided to renew with Leipzig until 2029, thus not listening to the sirens that arrived from all over Europe. Several Premier League clubs had been on his trail, and in Italy he had first been thought of by AC Milan (who then set their sights on Zirkzee) and at a later stage Napoli.
Sesko, who is currently è engaged in training camp with his national team ahead of Euro 2024, has instead decided to stay in Germany for at least another season: an exit clause would be included in his contract, valid from 2025.
"My first year at’RB Leipzig è has been positive and I am very happy to be here. The team, the club, the city, the fans … the overall package remains simply outstanding for me. The early contract extension è therefore the logical step for me", said the player.
Sesko scored 14 goals in his first season in the Bundesliga.
