Spain, Luis De la Fuente speaks out on Euro 2024 Group B opponents

During a speech to the microphones of the "Gazzetta dello Sport", just a few days before the start of Euro 2024, Spain coach Luis De la Fuente, among the various topics covered, spoke bluntly about the Red Furies’ opponents in Group B of the continental tournament, namely Italy, Croatia and Albania.

"Our group è the toughest of all, but it does not matter, because è to win you have to beat the best and that is what we are here for. With Croatia and Italy we played at the last European Championship and in the Nations League last summer. Dalic’s team has changed less than us and the Azzurri, starting with the coach. Years pass for key players, but they still remain a team with unsurpassed feeling and cohesion. It's impressive how such aì small country can produce so many great footballers" began Spain’s coach.

"Albania should not be underestimated either, perhaps unknown to the general public but with many good elements and a coach who has been able to give the team a dynamic and aggressive style. They play well and are capable of hurting anyone who will be distracted against them" added the Red Furies’ coach.

"It seems to me the edition with the highest technical level in history. Nobody è left, I expect a very open tournament, without a clear favorite and with 8-10 teams capable of winning, between the usual big ones and the revelations. It canò be a historic European for soccer, the kind that marks an era" concluded Luis De la Fuente.
