Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi on the sidelines of the Misano round of Superbike spoke about Marc Marquez’s move to the Borgo Panigale factory team. Tardozzi admitted the risks but said he was confident ahead of the Catalan’s arrival: "It won’t be; like with Valentino Rossi", he said referring to the Doctor’s disappointing two-year stint on the Desmosedici.

"The preparation we have today, the bikes, the management and the technical leadership are completely different than then. This è was the real mistake when we hired Valentino in Ducati, we were not prepared".

"Ducati was not prepared to handle Valentino Rossi, today we are amply prepared. Also, I remember that we have the two-time world champion. The moment you manage Francesco Bagnaia, I don’t see whyé you can’t also manage Marc Márquez", are the words reported by GPOne.

"Marc will comeà to Pecco Bagnaia’s house. He made flattering comments about Pecco, not casual. When Marc speaks he always knows exactly what he is saying, he never speaks without thinking.
