Olimpia Milano, Hines ready to leave basketball?
He won everything in his career, in Milan four stellar years
Upon raising the Champions of Italy trophy, Olimpia captain Melli called out to sé teammate Hines, leaving him the privilege of raising the cup to the sky. A very nice gesture that è also seemed to be a kind of thanksgiving for all that the American has done in four seasons with the red and white jersey.
"A beautiful gesture. I don't know what his plans are, but in that gesture of Nick maybe he knows more than I do. He had all his family here, mayò be it is time for him to become a great executive. A very important presence on the field and off. We will see what he decidesà. We will ask him", the words of Coach Messina in the press room after winning Scudetto number 31.
Landed in Milan in 2020, Hines è has been instrumental in the many biancorossi successes. In the last two seasons, due to an age that is no longer so green, he has played less but his incredible leadership has always made itself felt, both when he took the court and, above all, in the locker room.
The feeling è that Game 4 against Virtus Bologna may have been the last of Hines's fabulous career. At 37 years old, he has an incredible palmares with no less than 22 trophies won, including four Euroleague, unfortunately none with Milan but it matters little. Olimpia fans have adored him for his game and for his enormous human qualities.
