Goodbye to Kevin Campbell

A dreadful day for the world of soccer and in particular for the British soccer world. In the morning came the news of another death, following that of young Millwall (and Montenegro national team) goalkeeper Matija Sarkic: Kevin Campbell passed away.

Born Feb. 4, 1970, Kevin Campbell began his career at Arsenal, where he played until 1995. He è retired from soccer in 2007, after playing for several teams including Leyton Orient, Leicester, Nottingham Forest, Everton, WBA and Cardiff, with a spell in Turkey at Trabzonspor.

"We are deeply saddened to learn that our former striker Kevin Campbell è passed away after a short illness. Kevin was loved by everyone in the club. Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this difficult time" the Gunners sad announcement.

With Arsenal Campbell won two Premier League titles, in 1989 and 1991.
