SBK, Toprak Razgatlioglu dominates Race 1 at Misano
A victory that represents a signal to all.
Goes to Toprak Razgatlioglu Race 1 in Misano Adriatico, after a performance of the highest level and the result of a genuine domination. The BMW’s Turk took the lead of the race on the third lap, overtaking Remy Gardner, and never let go. Completing the podium were the Ducatis of Nicolò Bulega and Alvaro Bautista, seventh and ninth finished Andrea Iannone and Danilo Petrucci.
A number of retirements are also worth noting, including those of Aegerter, Tito Rabat and especially Sam Lowes and Jonathan Rea. Speaking of the other Italians, è excellent fourth place finish by Andrea Locatelli on Yamaha. Axel Bassani finished eleventh, Michele Pirro and Michael Rinaldi were thirteenth and fourteenth.
By virtue of the Misano win, Razgatlioglu climbs to the top of the Superbike riders’ standings, 3 points ahead of Bautista and 13 ahead of Bulega. Heavy points also for BMW, in the manufacturers’ battle against Ducati.
