Francesca Fiorellini finished third at the Italian Open d'Italia, a tournament valid for the Ladies European Tour staged at the Golf Nazionale di Sutri (Viterbo). Winning the title was England's Amy Taylor with 206 (70 67 69, -10) strokes ahead of Spain's Maria Hernandez, second with 207 (-9).
Francesca Fiorellini, the tournament’s best amateur golfer, è finished third with 209 (71 71 67, -7), tied with France’s Camille Chevalier and Singapore’s Shannon Tan.
Also good was the other Azzurra Alessandra Fanali sixth with 210 strokes.
Francesca Fiorellini, 18, è to the first major achievement of her career. In 2023 she won the National Women's Championship/Giuseppe Silva Trophy (match play) and the International Women's Championship of Italy, then had shined in the Patsy Hankins Trophy and the Junior Ryder Cup.
