F1, Barcelona: Carlos Sainz the fastest of the third free practice

È Carlos Sainz the fastest of the last free practice session of the Spanish Grand Prix. In Barcelona, in fact, the Spanish driver set the best time, stopping the clock on'1'13"013. Also doing well was the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, third and only 37 thousandths away from his teammate, but under investigation for a contact with Lando Norris. Between the two Rosse there'è just the McLaren of the Briton, second 30 thousandths behind Sainz.

In fourth was three-time world champion Max Verstappen, also very close to the podium. The Dutchman, in fact, is only 74 thousandths behind leader Sainz. Fifth and sixth place for the two Mercedes cars of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton, who is also under investigation for contact with Lance Stroll.

Disappointing Sergio Perez, only seventh with the other Red Bull, ahead of Alexander Albon’s Williams. Fernando Alonso's Aston Martin and Oscar Piastri's other McLaren close out the top 10.
