Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori spoke after their triumph in Halle: "We tried to prepare the match as best as we could, we knew our opponents well enough but the grass seems to be a surface apart – the former's words. Finals are a mix of tactics, technique and emotions. We entered very charged, with the right attitude. We were always aggressive and we were also lucky".

" We have made a great path, not many expected this growth while we were certain to be among the best cups in the world alreadyà at the beginning of the year. Work always pays off,” Vavassori added, “even as we get up from some defeats. We were very good after the final we lost in Paris and work hard, coming here a few days earlier. We come to Wimbledon with a lot of confidence and I don’t think they will want to meet us now".

"We have so many goals, from winning a Slam, the Olympics or Turin. We are growing as a couple playing at a very high level on all surfaces. We must continue on this level by working to improve", concluded Bolelli.
