Max Verstappen on pole in Sprint in Austria ahead of McLarens, Ferrari bad
Austria GP: Max Verstappen takes pole for Sprint Race, back the Ferraris
After setting the fastest time in the first free practice session, Max Verstappen è was also fastest in the Sprint Qualifying of the Austrian GP. The Red Bull driver, in fact, achieved a time of 1:04.686, preceding the McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, who were 93 and 301 thousandths apart, respectively.
In fourth place is the Mercedes of George Russell followed by the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz. Completing the top 10 are: Lewis Hamilton, Sergio Perez, Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly and Charles Leclerc, who did not è manage to set a time in Q3 due to a technical problem that did not allow him to complete the launch lap by the end of the session.
