MotoGP, Assen: Pecco Bagnaia wins Sprint ahead of Jorge Martin, falls Marc Marquez
GP Netherlands, Sprint Race: Pecco Bagnaia triumphs in Assen
After taking pole in the morning, Pecco Bagnaia also took the Sprint Race of the Dutch Grand Prix on a perfect Saturday for the Ducati rider. The world champion dominated the Sprint Race from the first to the last lap, crossing the line ahead of Jorge Martin’s Ducati Pramac, now only 15 points ahead of Pecco in the overall standings, and Maverick Viñ’s Aprilia.
Marc Marquez falls on the second lap and èforced to retire. In fourth was the other official Ducati of Enea Bastianini, ahead of the VR46 Racing Team machine of Fabio Di Giannantonio, fifth. Sixth place for the KTM of Brad Binder, who preceded the Yamaha of Fabio Quartararo.
Completing the top 10 Alex Marquez, eighth after receiving a three-second penalty for not taking the long lap penalty, the other Ducati Pramac of Franco Morbidelli, ninth, and the GasGas team KTM of Pedro Acosta, tenth.
