Ducati, Gigi Dall'Igna: "Marc Marquez? Bagnaia reacted well…"

Ducati general manager Gigi Dall'Igna celebrated the triumphant weekend of the Borgo Panigale factory, which placed three riders on the podium at the Grand Prix d'Holland in Assen: "È it was an incredible weekend after another equally incredible weekend that è was Mugello. Pecco really had a flawless weekend, he set it up great from Friday at the ready and continued like that until the end of the race. I have to congratulate him because è once again he è proved himself to be the champion that è ".

On the arrival of Marc Marquez in the official team, Dall'Igna clarified: "Pecco reacted well to the signing of Marc Márquez in the official Ducati but we already knew that. We did not put Marc next to Pecco because è we had to evaluate Pecco. Pecco è our flag, with us he won two World Championships, with us he is doing wonderful things. We simply feel it is right to have the two best possible riders on our team".

Ducati after this move lost the Pramac team and Jorge Martin: "For sure we had to choose one rider and we had three. È clear that chosen one, the other two would have been on the market and definitely not on a Ducati. That was a given already from the beginning of the year, we knew we could keep one".

"If I could, I would change the fact that I could continue with Pramac. I would not blame Marquez for that, we had to choose a rider and we chose Marc. Obviously the others went to the competition, but it was inevitable. If Marc had signed with Pramac it would have been different, our goal was to try to continue with two riders. It was a very complex thing and very difficult to achieve, in fact we did not succeed".
