In the Grand Prix d’Holland MotoGP class on the Assen circuit, the’università of motorcycling, Francesco Bagnaia with his official Ducati demonstrates a very clear superiority triumphing with more’than 3 and a half seconds over his great rival for the title, the Spaniard of Ducati Pramac Jorge Martin. Third place for the’other official Red of Borgo Panigale, that of Enea Bastianini, distanced 7 seconds from Pecco.
At the start Bagnaia takes the lead from pole position ahead of Vinales and Martin who è sling start and after less than half a lap è second while Vinales shortly after is also overtaken by Marc Marquez. In the rear at the first corner Rins ends up on the ground.
Di Giannantonio overtakes Acosta for the fifth position and in a few laps he gets back under Vinales and Marc Marquez and overtakes both of them installing himself on the lowest step of the provisional podium behind Bagnaia and Martin who are racing sé and Pecco himself is doing it in turn against his rival.
With nine laps to go an arrembante Bastianini snatches the sixth position from Acosta while Di Giannantonio is unable to shake off Marquez and Vinales and in fact the latter the following lap gains two positions while the Italian loses three, also overtaken by Bastianini.
At the’beginning of the twenty-first lap Bastianini attacks Marquez, the two touch and the Spaniard goes wide losing two positions that he recovers for’soon after. At minus four Bastianini overtakes Vinales and settles in third position that he will maintain until the end.
In front Bagnaia wins undisturbed in front of Martin, for the outclassman from Turin è victory number 33 in his career in the world championship, number 23 in MotoGP, the fifth of the season and the third consecutive, to which there are also two sprints to be added.
Martin è second at a great distance and sees his lead over Pecco in the standings thinning to just 10 points. At the’last corner Marquez overtakes Vinales and Di Giannantonio in one fell swoop and finishes fourth, while just earlier Acosta had ended up on the ground when by’s time he was no longer fighting for the podium.
